Get to Know the Works of Nobel Prize Winner Jon Fosse!
Jon Fosse, a world-renowned Nynorsk author, spans a wide range of genres in his writing. His texts also have a musical quality, which will be a focus of this event. You will also hear some of Fosse's poetry.
"The Nobel Prize should be seen as a prize for Nynorsk," said Jon Fosse in connection with the award ceremony. The leader of Noregs Mållag will elaborate on this by discussing what Fosse and the Nobel Prize mean for Nynorsk. Fosse writes about rural areas, the fjord, and the city in a way that resonates with many, making this event particularly fitting for our region.

- Musikk med inspirasjon frå Jon Fosse sine tekstar. Foredrag – om musikken i Fosse sin forfattarskap, ved Geir Hjorthol, professor ved Høgskulen i Volda, Fossekjennar og musikar.
- Appell med musikalsk innslag, ved Janne Urkegjerde, folkemusikar og nestleiar i Norsk Målungdom.
- Jon Fosse – Nobelprisen og nynorsken, ved Peder Lofnes Hauge, leiar i Noregs Mållag
- Avrunding ved Sigurd Drege – og eit Fossedikt
Programmet varer ca 1,5 time, og er eit samarbeid mellom Stranda Mållag og Festspela i Geiranger.
